Kampala Regional Conference on the Convention on Cluster Munitions

The objective of this event is to allow an in-depth discussion of the recently adopted Convention on Cluster Munitions, and the opportunities and challenges it presents to Africa. The Convention is of particular importance to Africa as a region that knows the humanitarian devastating effects of cluster munitions and has suffered for decades from the uncontrolled proliferation of conventional weapons.
The seminar is aimed at political decision-makers, technical experts, and civil society actors dealing with the issue of cluster munitions in Africa.
