Tajikistan - The Dushanbe Workshop on Achieving a Mine-Free Central Asia
The workshop is part of series of regional workshops to be held in 2009, in advance of the Second Review Conference of the Mine Ban Treaty (Cartagena, Colombia, 30 Nov - 4 Dec. 2009). States Parties to the Mine Ban Treaty, states not party, international organizations, UN agencies, the ICRC and the ICBL will participate in the workshop, which purpose is to take stock of the progress made and challenges that remain in Central Asia in pursuing the aims of the Mine Ban Treaty.
