Report from Chris Moon run in Japan

Chris Moon and Mari Tanigawa, a winner of 1991 Tokyo International Women's Marathon, ran from Hiwizan Enryakuji temple to Shin Asahi Town, where Japanese stockpile is now under destruction for 70 km on November 25th. The temple was founded in 8th century and its peace activities is well known. At the starting ceremony, Chris Moon was given a 1200 year immortal torch for peace by the highest priest. Over 200 people participated in the run and about 3,000 audiences cheered them up. Through a series of AAR's landmine awareness events during the week, about 20,000US$ donation were collected and will be used for AAR's vocational training center for the victims and disabled in Cambodia and AAR/HALO's mine clearance operation in Afghanistan and Kosovo.
