Intersessional Standing Committees Meetings, 25-29 May 2009, Geneva, Switzerland

In order to ensure the systematic and effective implementation of the Mine Ban Treaty, four informal, open-ended Standing Committees meet once a year in Geneva, Switzerland. The meetings are open to governments (States Parties and states not party), relevant international organizations and non-governmental organizations. The ICBL actively participates in those meetings, delivers expert statements, makes the voice of mine survivors heard, organizes side events and feeds information to the media.

The Intersessional Standing Committees Meetings will take place from 25 to 29 May 2009 at the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD), Avenue de la Paix 7bis (WMO Building), Geneva, Switzerland.
