Gender and Diversity in Mine ActionSponsored by the Swiss Campaign to Ban Landmines

Palais des Nations, between Rooms XVIII and XXIV / 29 November - 3 December

In September 2010, with the financial support of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and the technical support of the GICHD, the Gender and Mine Action Programme (GMAP) of the Swiss Campaign to Ban Landmines launched a call for photographs representing gender and diversity in mine action. More than 80 photographs were received, representing 15 countries and territories. A jury of three renowned photojournalists (Maria Eugênia Sá, Giovanni Diffidenti and Sean Sutton) plus two design and mine action specialists (Lesley Macinnes-Gillies and Karma Al Azmeh Valluy) reviewed and selected the 30 best photographs.
