The 6th Meeting of States Parties is now less than a week away! Below is important logistical information for campaigners and researchers participating in the meeting. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward seeing you soon in Zagreb.
CONTENTS:
1.) Introduction
The 6th Meeting of States Parties will be held at the Zagreb Fairground at Zagreb from 28th November – 2nd December. The meeting is a pivotal event in the life of both the Mine Ban Treaty and the civil society movement against landmines. Over 200 ICBL campaigners will participate in the meeting as observers. Logistical details regarding ICBL participation in the meeting, including information on hotels, visas and flights, are posted at http://www.icbl.org/6msp/logistics. Additional information is available on the official 6MSP website at http://www.6msp-croatia.com. 2.) Registration The ICBL registration deadline was 7 October. Registration is now closed. If you have outstanding circumstances and have not yet registered, please contact andre@icbl.org. If you have not done so already, please provide us with your arrival and departure date, time, flight numbers and passport details. Please send immediately at rolo@icbl.org 3.) Visas Participants are responsible for applying for all visas needed to travel to and enter Croatia. Croatian visas will be issued free of charge at Croatian missions abroad and at the airport upon arrival at Please airport, Zagreb. The Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued ICBL a Croatian visa waiver letter. Transit visa fees will not be waived. All sponsored ICBL participants and non-sponsored participants coming from regions other than Europe and North America have received this waiver letter by email and fax. All participants are encouraged to apply for the necessary visas immediately.

Weather: Average temperature in Zagreb in November/December range from –2°C to 4°C. Winter has started in Croatia. Snow falls are scheduled for next week – bring warm clothes.
What to Wear: Warm woollen clothes and shoes. Bring warm coat, scarf, gloves hats and socks.

Currency: The currency used in Croatia is the Croatian Kuna (Kn). Notes are issued in denominations of Kn 500, Kn 200, Kn 100, Kn 50, Kn 20, Kn 10, Kn 5. There are 5, 2 and 1 Kn coins. Most foreign currencies and traveller checks can be changed at banks, hotels and currency changers. All major credit cards are widely accepted throughout Zagreb and automated teller machines (ATMs) are located throughout the city and accept both Cirrus and Plus cards.
