Shipping Options for the Nairobi Summit

Please read the following memo carefully if you intend to bring supplies/ materials to the Nairobi Summit on a Mine-Free World.

Available options

  1. If you can, please bring your supplies/materials with you as luggage. Excess baggage charges may be lower than shipping items separately to Nairobi.
  2. Send your supplies/ materials using a recognized international courier (Fedex, DHL, UPS, etc.).
  3. Campaigns are asked NOT to send materials by air cargo or post.

Instructions for sending materials by courier

  • DO NOT SEND T-SHIRTS, they will be held by customs.
  • CD ROMs, documents and other print materials can easily be sent by courier.
  • Mark all packages with "Education Materials - No Commercial Value."
  • Before sending your materials, send an email with the following details to Loren Persi at loren@icbl.org
    • Sender's Name and Organization
    • Date Sent
    • Tracking Number/ Waybill Number
    • Number of Packages Sent
    • Contents and Value of each Package
  • The value declared for all items for customs should be $0.00.

The ICBL will arrange for transportation of materials from the KCAL office to the United Nations Office at Nairobi (conference venue) on or around 26 November. If you need your materials earlier or need to pick up boxes at KCAL and transfer to another venue please contact Loren Persi at loren@icbl.org.

Fees

The ICBL is not responsible for any shipping, customs or other costs associated with the transportation of campaign materials. The ICBL is unable to assist with the importation of any materials sent by air cargo or post.

Return Shipping

Campaigns are responsible for removing their own materials from the United Nations Office at Nairobi following the Nairobi Summit. Materials left at the UN will be disposed. Campaigns are responsible for arranging the return shipment of their materials by international courier.
