This film shows the suffering that has been caused by specific types of weapons, what has been done in the past to ban such weapons as dumdum bullets and poison gas, and what must still be done through international agreements to prevent future disasters. Two very important initiatives are dealt with in particular: a proposal to ban the production and trade in anti-personnel mines and an appeal to prohibit blinding as a method of warfare. The film is made up of individual sequences that can be shown separately or as a whole.
