Over hundred million landmines are scattered around the world, killing and maiming hundreds of peoples each month (one person every twenty minutes). Most of the victims are innocent civilians trying to reclaim farmland in the aftermath of conflict. Nobel Peace Prize winner Jody Williams, Senator Patrick Leahy, and Stephen Goose of Human Rights Watch Arms Project talk about the horrors of landmines in developing countries.
