“Shattered Lives” presents in five minutes an overview of the landmine epidemic. Using music and lyrics by Australian songwriter Bernard Carney and images taken by John Rodsted and dedicated photographers, the clip illustrates the results of the use of these indiscriminate weapons in countries such as Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cambodia and Mozambique. “Shattered Lives” also recognizes the efforts undertaken by the ICRC, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and numerous NGOs to achieve a total ban on landmines.

This Film was published in 1998 by ICRC. It is available in English. You can order from ICRC Publications
