Franca Faita, lady worker and unionist at Valsella Meccanotecnica (Ghedi, Brescia - Italy), one of the most productive Italian Factory of AP and AT landmines, comes to know about the terrible effects of landmines on innocent victims. She becomes aware of the responsibility of herself and of her fellowworkers. So she starts moving challenging everybody at the Factory, claiming, at one and the same time, complete stop to production as well as conversion to civil production, in order to save jobs and salaries for the co-workers. She cooperates intensively with Fr. Marcello Storgato, an Italian missionary, and with all other groups and persons involved in the Italian Campaign to ban landmines, until Mr. Borletti, the owner of the Factory, sells the property to a new owner, who emplyes Franca for the task of destroying all papers and documentation of the former Factory.
