First NGO Conference on Anti-Personnel Mines

Following the formal launch of the International Campaign to Ban
Landmines in October 1992, the six founding member organizations
organized the first civil society conference on landmines. Over 70
participants from 40 NGOs came together in London, United Kingdom
from 24-26 May 1993 to discuss the global landmine problem and plan
future campaign actions. This report details activities and outcomes
from this groundbreaking event in the movement to ban landmines.
