ICBLs policy
- ICBL will do its utmost to avoid any actions that can be viewed by the recipient as spamming.
- ICBL will never disclose personal information or e-mail addresses to third parties, unless the user has explicitly selected to display such information.
- ICBL will always provide an option to unsubscribe from our public newsletters, we will also strive to include instructions on how to be removed on any communication sent to you. See www.icbl.org/info/newsletter for more information.
- ICBL will NOT tolerate any collection of e-mail addresses from our website for the purpose of spamming. Any IP address found to have an e-mail harvester like behaviour will automatically be denied access to our website.
- Visitors will be required to have the USER_AGENT information specified to access key contact information. That is the information disclosing which browser you are using. Some programs, eg. Norton Internet Security, are known to block us from seeing such information. Temporarily disable it if you want to access such information on our site.
- ICBL will report any incidences of spamming to spamcop.net and if neccessary contact the ISP of the user to have the account closed down.
- ICBL uses SpamAssassin to filter e-mail. If you suspect that your mail service has been blocked from sending e-mail to any of us, you can use our Feedback Form to inform us about the problem.
- If you suspect that an icbl.org account is being used for spamming please forward the message with full headers and an explanation to the ICBL webmaster.
- All e-mail addresses are listed with "complications" to restrict spam harvesters. That means they have been either substituted with forms or are in different ways complicated in a way which humans can hopefully understand and make the proper address.
ICBL Campaigners will usually see the proper addresses if they have signed in on the site.
