What are drafts?

Drafts are temporary documents or versions of documents, not yet published on the site and only available to the user who created them.

When is a draft created?

  1. Whenever a create or new button is clicked.
  2. Whenever an edit button is clicked.

Both regardless of whether the user clicks "save draft" or "Send for publishing".

What happens with the drafts?

The drafts stay in the system until the owner does either:

  1. Send for publishing
meaning the document is final and is made available on the site)
  2. Discard
Meaning the document is considered an error and it is removed to the users trash.

How to find my drafts?

Once logged in you will find the link to your drafts in your personal menu.

You can also go directly to www.icbl.org/content/draft

Someone else has a draft of the page I want to edit

Preferably only one person should be editing a page at the time. Currently there is no way for two persons to be working on the same draft even if they do so in turns.

If you get the message that someone is already editing the page you tried to edit you could take one of the following actions:

  1. Wait for the other user to finish, contact if you need to edit the page quickly.
  2. If the draft is old and obviously not in use ask the user to go to his/her draft folder and delete the draft. In the meantime you can make a new draft.
