ANDORRA

Andorra signed the Mine Ban Treaty on 3 December 1997 and ratified it on 29 June 1998. The treaty entered into force for Andorra on 1 March 1999. It does not have domestic implementation legislation. Andorra did not attend the Second Meeting of States Parties in September 2000 or meetings of the intersessional Standing Committees in December 2000 or May 2001. Andorra voted in favor of UN General Assembly Resolution 55/33V in November 2000 supporting the Mine Ban Treaty. Andorra submitted its initial Article 7 transparency report on 12 July 2000. Andorra has not yet submitted its annual report that was due by 30 April 2001. Andorra has not ratified the Convention on Conventional Weapons. Andorra has not produced, stockpiled, or used antipersonnel mines. Its territory is not mine-affected. Andorra contributed $10,000 in 1999 and $21,600 in 2000 to the UN Voluntary Trust for Assistance in Mine Action.
