ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA

Antigua and Barbuda signed the Mine Ban Treaty on 3 December 1997, ratified on 3 May 1999 and the treaty entered into force on 1 November 1999. Antigua and Barbados is still not believed to have enacted domestic implementation legislation. It submitted its initial Article 7 transparency report on 29 March 2000, but has not submitted the subsequent annual Article 7 report, due by 30 April 2001. Antigua and Barbuda voted in favor of UN General Assembly Resolution 55/33V. According to the Article 7 report, Antigua and Barbuda has never stockpiled, transferred or used antipersonnel mines and it is not mine-affected.^[189]
