HAITI

Haiti signed the Mine Ban Treaty on 3 December 1997, but has not yet ratified. Haiti did not attend any meetings related to the Mine Ban Treaty in 2000 or 2001. In November 2000, it voted in favor of UN General Assembly Resolution 55/33V, in support of the Mine Ban Treaty. Haiti has stated that it has never produced, imported, stockpiled or used antipersonnel mines and is not mine-affected.[1]
