The Republic of Nauru acceded to the Mine Ban Treaty on 7 August 2000. It is not believed to have any domestic implementation legislation in place and has not yet submitted its initial Article 7 Report, due 31 July 2001. Nauru cosponsored the UN General Assembly Resolution 57/74, but was absent during the vote on 22 November 2002. It is not believed to have ever produced, transferred, stockpiled, or used antipersonnel mines.
