Sebastian Kasack

Sebastian has been involved in Mine Action since 1996, working in the areas of advocacy, Mine Risk Education, and victim assistance (primarily providing psychosocial support and community-based rehabilitation). He worked for the German-based NGO Medico International in Angola as the program director before moving to the UN Mine Action Service in 2003, where he has worked as a Mine Risk Education officer for the past three years. He has a degree in Geography, a post-graduate degree in Development Issues and has published articles on victim assistance and the Landmine Safety approach in the Journal of Mine Action.
