Urgent Action for Alliant Stockholders Mtg
22URGENT ACTION FOR ALLIANT STOCKHOLDERS MTG
PLEASE JOIN US IN ASKING ALLIANT, the major producer of APMs in the United States, TO RENOUNCE ALL PRODUCTION OF ANTIPERSONNEL MINES - PRESENT OR FUTURE. (To the best of my knowledge, they do not currently have a production contract for APMs or mixed mine systems, but would do so tomorrow, if contracted.)
WHAT ELSE EVERYONE - in and out of Minnesota - CAN DO :
1. FLOOD ALLIANT WITH E-MAILS OR LETTERS OR FAXES :
Send an e-mail to the CEO, RICHARD SCHWARTZ, to ask that Alliant renounce all production of antipersonnel mines, including any future
production. You could also ask that they make a public statement to
that effect, like Motorola has done. (At least seventeen of the 47 US
producers of AP mines and/or component parts have renounced production of AP mines.)

fax : (612) 931-5423

THANKS! fax : 612-928-1945)
2. Continue to write President Clinton to ask him to SIGN THE OTTAWA CONVENTION banning landmines NOW!, not in the Year 2006 (which is 200,000 victims too late at the current rate of human casualties).
ADDRESS : President William Jefferson Clinton
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C. 20500
White House opinion line : 1-202-456-1111
PLEASE JOIN US ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 4 TO ASK ALLIANT TO STOP PRODUCING ANTIPERSONNEL MINES.
BAN MINES - NOW IS THE TIME!
Sincerely,
