ICBL Resource Focalpoints

The ICBL CC decided in 2 February 2002 to scale down and decentralize the Resource Center (RC) with a view to increased effectiveness and efficiency, including cost-efficiency. From 1 January 2003 the ICBL Resource Center no longer exists and has been replaced by resource Focal Points.

Now all resource material information and distribution will be through these Focal Points. Their tasks and responsibilities have been divided up by theme, region and language. Below is a list of all focal points. Please consider what kind of material you are looking for, consult the list, and contact the relevant Focal Point.

For example, If you are seeking materials on Mine Risk Education, please contact Handicap International Belgium. For Victim Assistance materials, Landmine Survivors Network can refer you to relevant materials. For ICBL kits, brochures or documents, please contact the Focal Point in your region or language-speaking group. If you would like an ICBL Campaign Kit in Arabic, for example, you will see that the Landmines Resource Centre in Lebanon can help you.

In addition, as usual, all of the resources are listed in the Index on Landmines on the website, which focal points are also helping to update, and you can always consult www.icbl.org/index to find out where to find a document.

The list of resource focal points can be found on our contacts page.

Some old resource center material which can still be useful while we totally revise this page:

Campaign Kit The ICBL has produced a Campaign Kit with tips and checklists on a range of campaigning tools and techniques. Through the kit we hope to share experiences of successful ways of running campaigns and consolidate what we have learnt. Hopefully the Campaign Kit will also soon be available online.
