Despite the tragic events of 11 September 2001, representatives from
95 governments as well as the International Campaign to Ban
Landmines (ICBL), the International Committee of the Red Cross and
other international agencies gathered in Managua, Nicaragua from 18-
21 September 2001 for the "Third Meeting of States Parties to the
1997 Mine Ban Treaty" (3MSP). This report provides an overview and
assessment of the 3MSP and includes all official meeting documents,
ICBL documents and components of campaign and participant kits.
