Social construction of the Mine Ban Treaty

Robert J. Lawson, one of a handful of diplomats that conceived of and
led the Ottawa Process, conducted extensive research into the social
construction of the movement to eliminate antipersonnel mines from
1991-2001. He outlines the development of the weapon and the effort
to eradicate it, from attempts to ban mines through amendments to
the Convention on Conventional Weapons (CCW) to the Mine Ban
Treaty.
