Deed of Commitment To Mine Ban Treaty

The "Deed of Commitment" is a mechanism through which Geneva
Call works with non-state actors (NSAs) to engage them in banning
the use and production of landmines. By signing and depositing the
deed with the canton of Geneva, NSAs pledge to abide by the Mine
Ban Treaty and to the global norm against mine use. The deed is one
of a variety of alternative mechanisms that can be used to encourage
the adherence of NSAs to international humanitarian norms.
