The system is setup to expect that the first level heading will always be Heading 1, and to have the next heading levels following logically. You are hence not supposed to ever start your document with a Heading 2. If your objective was to obtain a lighter heading then think again and leave it to the system to define how your heading appears, this way all documents will look more or less the same.
If we wall want a heading to appear differently we would change that for all documents at the same time. Ie saying that Heading 1, in all documents, should be smaller or centered or whatever we desire.
