How to add an image?

Introductory note : before to add a related object or image in a news, you need to have fill in at least three fields of the new news such as "short name" "title" and "body text".

Brief summary of this operation:

  1. Upload/copy the image as a related object
  2. Insert the image where you want it in the text

1. Uploading/copying the image

  • Select "Image" from the list and click New

On the right of the page you are editing find "Related Objects"
  • Select "Image" from the drop-down list
  • Click "New" to create the new image
  • In "Name", type a short description for the image to remember it. Use proper casing and spacing. Non-english characters are allowed.
  • In "Caption" if desired write a full description including photographer/copyright information. This will normally show with the image in the article.
  • In "Alternative Image Text" (last field) you can enter text to show if the picture does not. Can be same as name.
  • Now we're ready to add the image itself. This can be done in one of two ways:
    1. Transferring an image from the ICBL Image Library or another website, "Specify URL where to find imagefile".
Either type in the URL or click the button to obtain from the Image Library, this will open the image library in a separate window.
      In the image library:
Sign-in Find the image you want by searching or browsing the categories Click "get eZ URL" under the image you want to use. (If you wish to use the captions found in the image library you might want to copy these before you click.)Once you have clicked the button the Image Library will close and you will return to where you were editing the image.
  • Uploading an image from your harddrive, "Choose local image file for upload" and browse for the file on your computer.

Task complete, now publish or preview the document.

NB! You must publish the image to be able to use it, even if you don't plan to make the article where it will show public yet.

2. Insert the image

  • Insert object button found in the toolbar on top of the text field.

Click the paper clip in the menu
  • Select the image you uploaded/transferred in Object Name.
  • Choose alignment and size of the image. (Only use class if you know what it is)
  • Click Insert
