Ordering of content on other pages than the front can only be done through the eZ admin interface. Here's how to do (provided you have the appropriate editing rights):
View in admin selected in Kjell's personal menu.
- In the normal page view, view the page where the elements you want to sort appear.
- In your personal menu, select Page Editing > View in Admin
(Tip: If you want to keep the normal page view you should right click on View in Admin and select to open in a new window.)
- Provide your username and login when it switches to the admin
(You'll only need to do this once as long as you don't close the browser)
Now there are two options, either the folder has
- the default setting, which is to be automatically sorted alphabetically;
- already been set to allow you to sort by priority.
The following image shows a folder that has been configured to sort by priority. Unless you can see the priority column you can assume that it has the default setting.
If it has not already been set to sort by priority you need to do this first:
- Edit the folder (click the edit button)
- Change the selection for what to sort by to priority
- Decide whether you want ascending (starting with highest number) or descending (starting with lowest number) order.
- Click Send for publishing
Choosing what to sort by.
Once you have the folder set to Sort by Priority you can enter numbers to choose the sort order. Note that all new pages will have 0 as their priority. Click Update when you have entered your new numbers for the sort order and the order should change.
NB! Sometimes the display may take some time to change. Try refreshing the page or try editing the page and publish with no changes if it's urgent to assure that the sort order has changed.
